| This is a vintage metal alloy ashtray with beautifully detailed Art Deco casting! Presents a powerful image of a winged horse rearing up from a cubist style base. May possibly be a piece made for Mobil Oil executives. Finish appears to be original, looks like some kind of copper or bronze wash. Has a lovely patina from years of careful use. This piece was obviously highly valued and well cared for. There are a few minor scratches in the bowl, but other than that the condition is remarkable. This is obviously a high quality piece, finely detailed and well made. |
