| Highly unusual and very detailed! I believe this is a cane holder. The coil of the snake holds the canes
in place. I believe it's made of brass, very heavy. So detailed that each scale is visible. Base is very attractive
and decorative. Condition is very good, no breaks or cracks that I can find. Shows only moderate wear, just what
you would expect on a piece of this age. Some photos make it appear as if there's rust around the bottom of the
snake, but that's just dirt. I haven't tried to polish or clean it yet, I'll leave it as found for now. This piece is
not for everyone, but for the right person it's a real treasure!!
